Americans Dumped 3B Toxic Batteries Annually Into USA Landfills — Illegally

HybridLight's MISSION -- eliminate the toxic nightmare of 3 Billion batteries in American Landfills annually. Solar Rechargeable Hybrid Light® products ROI quickly as your lighting and USB device charging source.

St. George, United States - July 10, 2019 /PressCable/ —

Americans have already thrown away 30 billion ground water polluting batteries in the last decade.

There apparently has been no end in sight — until now.

HybridLight is on a mission to educate, legislate and help eliminate the toxic nightmare of 3 Billion, yes not Million with a “M” but with a “B”, Billion batteries that end up in American Landfills annually.

Yet Europe has policies that require recycling of batteries — the USA does too — but the laws “on the books” are not being followed.

The EU does a better job of recycling than is being accomplished (or not accomplished) by the retailers of batteries in the USA.

Judge for yourself, the toxicity levels of these battery chemicals.

A witches toxic brew of Mercury Lead, Cadmium, Nickel, Hydrides, Alkaline, Zinc, Manganese, Potassium Hydroxide, Lithium, Chlorides, and Phosphates.

Tons and tons of them and if placed end to end, enough to circle the earth 90 times.

The goal then… must be to build battery replacement products, to largely eliminate the need to purchase batteries.

The Municipal Power grid — even gets a boost — because the grid no longer needs to charge USB devices that would normally need to be plugged into the wall to charge.

This next generation of Sun Powered Electronics can be so clever that if you have more than one, all will actually daisy chain together and combine their super high efficiency solar cells to cross charge each other, but every item in the line can power or recharge any USB equipped device and will begin charging them from the light of any source of light: single candle, embers in a campfire, artificial light, cloudy or sunny days, in the shade or in full sunlight…

The side effect of these products — is that they will automatically start to clean up America’s water supply.

Studies show that battery filled flashlights in your glove box or kitchen drawer are typically dead when needed to be used.

Then Americans throw away yet another set of batteries that were purchased just 5 or 6 months ago, stored and were useless when needed.

Avid outdoorsman, environmentalist, owner and creator of HybridLight, Terry Peterson, a former Building Contractor — pioneered a complete line of solar powered mobile lighting and charging solutions designed for when the power of the sun can shed light on adventures, be at the ready in a toolbox, glovebox, emergency kit, night stand and naturally, that kitchen drawer.

To quote Mr. Peterson himself, “We can keep polluting our ground water with decaying batteries” and he continues, “or we can all use the best quality solar panels, that charge the best rechargeable and least toxic battery cell chemistry, the best LEDs — as a start to fixing this huge problem.

Environmentalists note that the sun provides 100 HOURS of continuous light on a single charge — there is no reason to pollute local landfills with disposable toxic batteries again.

Advances in electronics will intelligently charge any brand phone, and it’ll charge like it is plugged in the wall or in a USB charger in a car. Higher end products have the addition of a very unique feature into circuitry, he explains, “Many times the need is for lighting the darkness, more than a fully charged device, so it makes sense to stop charging a device when its internal charge drops to the 20% level, which still leaves a full night’s worth of light (or more).”

Recent technology advancements allow quality hybrid flashlights to begin charging from the light of a single birthday candle.

To make sure these hybrid flashlights don’t end up in the landfill, they should to be designed to last, to be durable, waterproof, shockproof, utilize rubberized flexible ports to cover electronics elements, make them resistant to dirt, dust, mud, moisture…

HybridLights are doing their part — protecting the Environment and the Water Supplies from the Witches Brew of heavy metal toxins.
